Our desire to provide quality veterinary medical services comes from our background, our desire to work as a doctors in equine veterinary medicine, and our compassion for animal welfare.

SARA STEIDL SHORT BIO:

Growing up on a horse ranch in Southern California gave Dr. Steidl early experience with horses. From helping breed and foal out mares to training two year olds. Dr Steidl learned a lot about equine husbandry, herd management and care. Her experience led her to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science at UC Davis with the ultimate goal of becoming a veterinarian.

While at UC Davis she found work as a technician and teaching assistant at the UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. During this time she was able to work on published studies as well as teach veterinary students. This culmination of experience and education lead Dr. Steidl to the graduate from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.

After graduation she found employment at Pioneer Equine Hospital. It was here, she was able to gain valuable experience in emergency medicine, reproductive medicine, and sports medicine. Through Pioneer Equine Hospital she was able to take over Dr. Alan Goldhahn’s ambulatory practice in Lodi. A-S Veterinary services main focus is on the heal and well being of your equine.
